Hawn Handmade

Studio manager and artisan jeweller
Rachel is the studio manager at Bold & Gold and the founder of Hawn Handmade, her independent jewellery brand based in the heart of Edinburgh.
Hawn Handmade is celebrated for truly one-of-a-kind jewellery, handcrafted using single-origin gold and ethically sourced stones chosen for their individual character and beauty. Her work blends the elegance and decadence of Art Deco influences with the raw, striking forms found within brutalist design, creating pieces that feel both timeless and unconventional.
Every piece is made with intention, carrying its own story, quiet rhythm and subtle sense of whimsy. Rachel’s creative approach and attention to detail are reflected not only in her jewellery, but also in the care and support she brings to the studio and community around it.
Bold & Gold x Hawn Handmade is a special collaboration between Rachel and the studio, featuring a curated collection of exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs created together.
Artyr Tyrkerson
Goldsmith and fine jewellery specialist
Artyr is a highly skilled goldsmith specialising in fine jewellery and fine body jewellery, with over a decade of experience in craftsmanship, stone setting and jewellery production.
Originally from Hungary, he began his professional goldsmith studies in 2010 and has dedicated his career to refining his technical skill and deep understanding of jewellery making. Since moving to Scotland in 2018, Artyr has continued to build his expertise within the jewellery industry, developing a reputation for exceptional attention to detail and high-quality stone setting.
Our connection with Artyr began around 2020 through a shared appreciation for gold jewellery and craftsmanship, quickly growing into a valued friendship built on mutual support, creativity and community. His passion for fine jewellery and dedication to quality align perfectly with the values we hold at Bold & Gold.
Artyr brings a unique perspective to the body jewellery world, combining traditional goldsmithing expertise with a deep appreciation for the artistry and technical precision behind fine body jewellery.
Jodie Metcalfe Jewellery
Independent jewellery designer and maker
Jodie Metcalfe is a jewellery designer and maker with over 10 years of experience within the jewellery industry, alongside qualifications in 3D design.
Working from the Highlands of Scotland, Jodie creates handcrafted jewellery inspired by the wild landscapes and geology surrounding her studio. Her work explores the textures, forms and subtleties found within metal in its most natural state, using heat and pressure to shape compositions that mirror the organic structures of naturally occurring gold and silver deposits.
Sustainability and responsible sourcing are central to Jodie’s practice. Every piece is created using recycled gold and silver, while gemstones are either hand sourced by Jodie herself, vintage sourced, or responsibly mined through trusted suppliers. Many of the stones featured within her work have been ethically prospected and cut in Australia.
With a strong focus on minimal environmental and human impact, Jodie continuously works to refine her processes in support of a more sustainable future, bringing intention and integrity into every piece she creates.
Danila Tarcinale
Independent jewellery designer and goldsmith
Danila Tarcinale is an award-winning jewellery designer and goldsmith based in London, with a BA Honours in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins.
Known for her distinctive “Italian flavoured jewellery with an English twist,” Danila creates contemporary fine jewellery and body jewellery that challenge traditional aesthetics through unconventional textures, materials and design approaches.
Working from her Hatton Garden studio, she specialises in handcrafted one-off and limited-edition pieces in precious metals, natural gemstones and diamonds. Alongside her fine jewellery collections, Danila has been creating high-end body piercing jewellery since 1992, with her work recognised internationally for its craftsmanship, originality and artistic identity.
Sacred Symbols
Fine body jewellery by Charly Pastrana
Sacred Symbols is the fine body jewellery brand of designer and maker Charly Pastrana, handcrafted in Mexico City.
Known for its outstanding reputation within the body jewellery industry, Sacred Symbols creates deeply expressive gold jewellery inspired by nature, Mayan culture and traditional art. Charly’s work is recognised for its rich textures, natural gemstones and flowing organic forms, with every piece made intentionally and by hand.
Everything is crafted with integrity, artistry and attention to detail, resulting in jewellery that feels both grounded and extraordinary. We’re honoured to showcase Sacred Symbols within the studio and share the opportunity to experience these remarkable pieces in person before they find their forever homes.
