Rachel is the studio manager at Bold & Gold and the founder of Hawn Handmade, her independent jewellery brand based in the heart of Edinburgh.
Hawn Handmade is celebrated for truly one-of-a-kind jewellery, handcrafted using single-origin gold and ethically sourced stones chosen for their individual character and beauty. Her work blends the elegance and decadence of Art Deco influences with the raw, striking forms found within brutalist design, creating pieces that feel both timeless and unconventional.
Every piece is made with intention, carrying its own story, quiet rhythm and subtle sense of whimsy. Rachel’s creative approach and attention to detail are reflected not only in her jewellery, but also in the care and support she brings to the studio and community around it.

Artyr is a highly skilled goldsmith specialising in fine jewellery and fine body jewellery, with over a decade of experience in craftsmanship, stone setting and jewellery production.
Originally from Hungary, he began his professional goldsmith studies in 2010 and has dedicated his career to refining his technical skill and deep understanding of jewellery making. Since moving to Scotland in 2018, Artyr has continued to build his expertise within the jewellery industry, developing a reputation for exceptional attention to detail and high-quality stone setting.
Our connection with Artyr began around 2020 through a shared appreciation for gold jewellery and craftsmanship, quickly growing into a valued friendship built on mutual support, creativity and community. His passion for fine jewellery and dedication to quality align perfectly with the values we hold at Bold & Gold.
